The April HORNET AWARD was presented to Brooke Litchfield, Armstrong Middle School teacher, at the April 10 Kearsley Community Schools Board of Education Meeting.
Excerpt from her nomination:
Brooke is 100% invested in the students at Armstrong Middle School and goes above and beyond for our AMS Hornets. This is Brooke’s second year teaching at AMS and during that time she has stepped up to serve in any way possible. She is a passionate, loving, and accepting educator who always offers students grace. Brooke starts each day with a positive attitude and a welcoming smile. She:
- Started our school newspaper called, “The Sting”
- Helps organize the 8th grade trip to Washington, DC
- Started the drama club last year and this year the club presented “Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit”
- Teaches the 6th grade KATS & honors ELA students and has guided them to write their scenario pieces and Future Problem Solving booklets
