The HORNET AWARD was presented to Marie Miarka, Kearsley High School teacher, at the March 13 Kearsley Community Schools Board of Education meeting.
Excerpt from her nomination:
Marie has taken on a new content area this year. But even so, she is providing amazing leadership in mentoring the National Honor Society and introducing unique service opportunities for students and staff. She is a devoted staff advocate, and currently has just begun spearheading the latest KHS Wellness Contest, a 10-week project. She has also provided a practical professional development opportunity in using a variety of digital apps to support instruction in the classroom and makes herself available to help others as needed.
Thank you to the Mark Owen Agency - Meemic Agent of Davison for their continued support of this award.
