The June HORNET AWARD was presented to Anna Chimbo, Kearsley High School teacher.
Excerpt from her nomination:
Anna organized the taking down of materials in the Media Center prior to demolition. She had student volunteers working in the Media Center to organize and box up books, while giving them all service learning hours. This takes a great deal of time and Anna has graciously took on this task. It isn't easy assembling all of the boxes and categorizing what needs to stay and what needs to be recycled. Thank you Anna for taking the lead on this!
