AP Economics fieldtrip

Kearsley High School AP Economics students visited the Detroit branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago yesterday.

They explored the behind-the-scenes operations where money is stored and sorted, enjoyed lunch in the cafeteria, and participated in a discussion about the Federal Reserve’s three main functions. Students also learned the differences between monetary and fiscal policy.

This experience provided real-world insights that connected classroom learning to the workings of our national economy. AP Economics is taught by Mike Whalen.
